Here terra incognita has been transformed into a golden void where aesthetic gestures can grow and expand beyond their borders toward some new valence of the beautiful, perhaps enabling us to contend with the dimensions of our imaginary abyss. We all exist upon some cusp of hope where art comes not as a stranger, but as an enigmatic echo of our own dilemma. If we are quick to grasp the two-edged sword of metaphor, we may yet stand paradox upon its head and make it dance to our ludic tune.
