The scallywag bursts upon the scene and sweeps aside all our preconceptions. That's how it is in art and society and much of nature. Of course religion and history and most of our institutions want us to believe otherwise, but they are lying. While simple justice might eventually catch up with some of them, that doesn't change anything. We still have to think, and choose, and act for ourselves and try not to forget the magpie within each of us.
